Behind the Brand
Mario Rivera is the founder and visionary behind MR HOSPITALITY. What began as a teenage summer job working events, turned into a passion. The opportunity to witness extravagant and lavish affairs, while producing events in collaboration with some of the industry’s very best caterers, planners and event designers was the spark that led him to create bespoke experiences. At Brooklyn College, he studied entrepreneurship and psychology while developing the vision for what is now MR HOSPITALITY.
Throughout his career, Mario has collaborated with celebrity chefs, world-renowned designers and elite brands like Iberostar Hotels & Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton. His passion for celebrating life and culture has also taken him on trips around the globe. From these, he brings back a reignited appreciation for food, drink, environments and worldly hospitality. Mario believes true hospitality is in all of us, regardless of race, culture or gender. While food and drink brings us together, it is hospitality that unites us. Mario Rivera is the founder and CEO of MR HOSPITALITY. He specializes in transforming any event into an experience. Spurred by his travels to places like Montreal, Cartagena, Lisbon, Ibiza and Thailand, Mario brings a fresh perspective to events in New York City. His philosophy is that life’s most memorable moments should be shared.
Over the course of his career, Mario has worked with some of the most celebrated chefs, caterers, restaurateurs, hotels, resorts, and event designers. As a graduate of Brooklyn College with a degree in business and psychology, he has the unique ability to create remarkable designs, themes and moods for his clients.
